The anesthesia department is dedicated to provide a pleasant surgical experience & a pain-free recovery period.  The anesthetic plan involves optimization of co-morbid illnesses, anxiolytic pre-medication, balanced anesthesia and adequate post-op analgesia.

There are different options of anesthesia which gives the patient the right to choose whatever is comfortable for oneself.  The various options are:-

  • General Anesthesia

  • Subarachnoid block (Spinal)

  • Regional block – wrist block, brachial plexus block, ankle block, etc.

  • Local anesthesia

  • Procedural sedation

While there are options in plenty, safety has no compromise.  The department is fully equipped (Drug & Defibrillator) to manage any medical emergency including cardiac arrest.

Anesthetic complications such as hypothermia, spinal headache, post-op nausea vomiting, post-op sore throat are no longer challenges in our institution.

There are four operating rooms:-

One Septic Operating Room

One Eye (Ophthalmology) Operating Room

One Obstetrics Operating Room (Dedicated only for caesarean sections)

One Multi purpose Operating Room (General Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Gynaecologic Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Dental Surgery).

A wide variety of surgeries from various specialists are performed, which avoids the monotony and makes work exciting.
